The Roost
It is not only the food that is the most important, but the stories and the being together
with friends that is more important . Therefore the best way to eat tapas is at ones leisure
with good company, good music and an equally good bottle of wine! A good selection
of bottled beers is also available.
Christmas Party Bookings now being taken.

It is assumed that the tapa originated with Spanish king Alfonso the 10th, the Wise.
He was ill and was advised to take small snacks between meals with some wine.
Once recovered from the disease, the wise king ordered that all the inns had to provide
something to eat when serving wine. This was to avoid the effects of people drinking too
much on an empty stomach!
